Cover/Typography Design

Although many authors now hire a cover designer to make an entire cover from scratch by manipulating free images, that is not the only option available for a book's cover.

​

Alternatively, an artist can be hired to create an image for the cover background, then a cover designer can be hired to put typography and design over that image.

​

I recommend and utilize the second approach.

​

Internal Formatting

While self-published works can be printed from Google docs or Microsoft Word, a little internal design can give your book a more complete look!

Design

Credentials

I graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in English including minors in Creative Writing and Spanish.

​

I was a prose editor for Issue 17 of my university's English department's literary journal,  Miracle Monocle. The following year, I was an intern editor for another issue.

​

I am currently an editor on the Wordwell team and have worked with them for a year.

​

I was the Editor-in-Chief for The White Squirrel, my university's student literary and arts journal, for two years. Additionally, I designed two of the volumes. â€‹
